Members get the credit

FreeState retires $850,000 to members

FreeState Electric Cooperative members are seeing bill credits on their July bills —capital credits― for helping build, sustain and grow the cooperative. General retirements for 2017 equaled $700,000 and special retirements, such as estates and members moving off line, equaled $150,000. 

FreeState Upgrades Phone System

As a strive toward enhancing and simplifying services offered to our members, FreeState Electric Cooperative introduced a new phone system on Feb. 24, 2017. FreeState Director of Information Technology, Brent Edgecomb, said this new ShoreTel system was put in place to improve flexibility, reliability, disaster preparedness and enhanced features that allow our employees to better accommodate members by improving internal communication.
